PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

A one-component, non-staining high-performance with excellent resistance to air and moisture penetration and UV rays that cures into a flexible rubber sand gasket that will not crack, even after many years of outdoor exposure; can be paited over shortly after application with latex or oil paint.

BASIC USES: Suitable for most interior or exterior applications. Seals cracks on concrete, drywall and wood; excellent for caulking around doors and window frames, siding corner joints, skylights, vents, air ducts and chimneys, where joint movement is moderate.

Theoretical Coverage: Approximately 34 linear feet of 1/4 bead per 10.1-oz. Cartridge.

Surface Preparation:Surface must be free of dust, dirt, grease and mildew. Remove all loose or badly cracked sealant and paint.

Mildewed Surfaces: Any existing mildew on the surface must be completely killed and removed prior to the application of new caulk. Using a long-handled brush, scrub mildewed surface with a mixture of one quart of household bleach and three quarts of warm water. Rinse completely and let dry completely.

Previously Cualked Surfaces: It is critical to remove as much old sealant as possible before applying new caulk, spefially if it is cracked, eroded or pulled away from the joint.

Application Instructions: For best results, follow these steps:

(1)   Apply at temperature above 40F (5) and when no precipitation is expected within 72 hours.

(2)   Cut nozzle to desired bead size (1/4 is recommended).

(3)   Hold tube at 45^o angle to the seam and push KTR700 ULTRA WHITE CAULK ahead of nozzle, applying uniform to the trigger in order to get a smooth bead.

(4)   Tool within 15 minutes with finger or damp smooth sponge.

(5)   Limit joint size to be filled to approximately 3/8X3/8. If depth of joint exceeds 3/8, use polyethylene foam or oakum as backup filler.

(6)   Wipe away excess with a damp cloth before surface skins.

Drying Time: Wait two hours before painting with latex paint; 24 hours if using alkyd (oil based) paint.

Cleanup: Clean up excess with damp cloth before caulk cures.

Coverage: Approximately 34 linear feet of 1/4 bead per 10.1-oz. Cartridge.

Storage: Protect from freezing; store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Product must be used within one year of purchase.

Note: Always use a sealer as shellac, before topcoating with a lacquer. Not recommended for use on horizontal surface where water may collect, or for marine use on areas below water level.
