PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: A one-component, high-performance, elastomeric sealant with the permanent adhesion and UV resistant properties of acrylic plus the permanent flexibility and lifetime durability of silicone. A high quality caulk will not crack, crumble or peel, even when exposed to severe weather or total joint movement; for interior or exterior use.

BASIC USES: KTR 900 ULTRA CLEAR CAULK provides a waterproof and weatherproof seal, adhering tightly to interior and exterior surfaces, even to ceramic and glass substraters. Excellent for siding corner joints and caulking around windows, doors, skylights, vents, air ducts and chimneys.

Theoretical Coverage: Approximately seven linear feet of 1/4 bead per 5.5-oz. Cartridge.

Surface Preparation:Surface must be free of dust, dirt, grease and mildew. Remove all loose or badly cracked sealant and paint.

Mildewed Surfaces: Any existing mildew on the surface must be completely killed and removed prior to the application of new caulk. Using a long-handled brush, scrub mildewed surface with a mixture of one quart of household bleach and three quarts of warm water. Rinse completely and let dry.

Previously Cualked Surfaces: It is critical to remove as much old sealant as possible before applying new caulk, spefially if it is cracked, eroded or pulled away from the joint.

Application Instructions: For best results, follow these steps:

(1)   Knead tube well before using.

(2)   Apply at temperature above 40F (5) and when no precipitation is expected within 72 hours.

(3)   Cut nozzle to desired bead size (1/4 is recommended).

(4)   Hold tube at 45^o angle to the seam and push KTR900 ULTRA CLEAR CAULK ahead of nozzle, applying uniform to the trigger in order to get a smooth bead.

(5)   Limit joint size to be filled to approximately 1/4. If depth of joint exceeds 1/4, use polyethylene foam or oakum as backup filler.

(6)   Wipe away excess with a damp cloth before surface skins.

Cleanup: Clean up excess with damp cloth before caulk cures.

Coverage: Approximately seven linear feet of 1/4 bead per 5.5-oz. Cartridge.

Storage: Protect from freezing; store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Product must be used within one year of purchase.

Note: Always use a sealer as shellac, before topcoating with a lacquer. Not recommended for use on horizontal surface where water may collect, or for marine use on areas below water level.
